My Approach
At Root + River Wellness, I use a combination of healing therapies that engage your bodies own healing capabilities.
I utilize mind-body systems like BodyTalk, Applied Kinesiology, Chinese Medicine, Herbs & Supplements, and Manual Therapies as needed, for a personalized, holistic approach. By taking this approach, we can get to the root of your symptoms, and begin to restore breakdowns that contribute to dis-ease.
Step 1: Initial Healing Session
First, you will schedule a New Client session and complete intake forms about your current state of well-being, and your full health history. I want to know your story! During this time, we will discuss your intake answers, and begin your priority based healing session. In this session, we will utilize the BodyTalk System of Healthcare, acupressure, and an analysis of possible food sensitivities & infection frequencies.
Step 2: Begin Your Journey
Now that you’ve had your first session, you will begin the recommended protocols, including follow up sessions, herbs and supplements, manual therapy, or gentle lifestyle guidance as needed. I will make these recommendations on an individual basis. Using a combined modality approach allows me to provide comprehensive integrative healthcare that addresses the whole person.
Step 3: Maintain Your Wellness
The beauty of the modalities I use, is that they allow you to be in tune with your body’s own healing capabilities. My goal is to help you create sustainable wellness by providing education and guidance on how to be involved in your own healing process, while we work together. I am dedicated to providing high quality sessions that deliver results, ensuring you maximize the investment you make in your health.

Using Bodytalk, we see lasting results quickly. People immediately tend to feel more relaxed, at ease, and in less pain. BodyTalk treatments typically take anywhere between 1-3 days to cycle through the body after the session time and process over a period of weeks, sometimes even months. Because BodyTalk engages the bodies natural ability to heal, the sessions work along with your bodies own physiological processes. This is highly individualized and looks different for everyone.
We initially recommend 3-5 sessions over a period of 1-2 months to give the bodymind complex and nervous system time to stabilize and address your healing needs.
If necessary, your results may also be influenced by your dedication to eliminating certain food sensitivities, and being diligent with taking any recommended supplements.

After establishing the “priority” that needs balancing, we implement different techniques to assist the body in making changes. Many of these techniques involve gentle tapping, hand placement, deep breathing, and acupressure. I also utilize red light laser therapy, elimination diets, and supplementation as needed, on a case by case basis.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for your session.
You will be fully clothed on a massage table, laying on your back. You can expect to feel deeply relaxed and maybe even fall asleep! After your BodyTalk Session you may feel more energized, or feel a bit tired for 1-3 days after, depending on your bodies healing process. You can immediately return to your normal routine following a BodyTalk session.
